Layer Masks
To use layer masks in Photoshop:
- Create or select a layer that you want to mask.
- Click on the "Layer" menu and select "Layer Mask" and then "Reveal All" to add a white layer mask to the layer.
- Select the Brush tool and choose a soft brush with black as the foreground color.
- Paint over the areas of the layer that you want to hide, which will reveal the layers below.
- To bring back parts of the masked layer, switch the foreground color to white and paint over the areas you want to restore.
